Acupuncture consists of the gentle insertion and stimulation of ultra-fine,
disposable, sterile needles at strategic points along the body's channels.
We can consider the points as "gateways" to the body's energy pathways,
allowing the practitioner to adjust the flow of Qi with the help of conduits,
or needles.
Different sensations may be felt during treatment, such as pressure, tingling
or electrical sensations traveling up or down the meridians. As you become
familiar with these sensations, the treatments will become deeply relaxing.
Acupuncture has been proven to stimulate the release of opiate-like hormones,
which helps to induce a deep state of relaxation and balance, helping the body
to heal itself.
Although the number of treatments needed will vary from person to person,
many people experience relief within one or two treatments.
"I want to express my gratitude for the positive changes I have experienced
since I have been in your care. Receiving acupuncture treatments with
hypnotherapy has been the greatest gift I have given myself. Thank you for the
personal care and attention that you continue to provide for me." -- A.V.
